One-Day Camps

School’s out.
We’re open.

When Loudoun, Fairfax, or Prince William closes for a holiday or a teacher workday, we run a full day of theatre in Leesburg.

Drop off in the morning, pick up a kid who spent the day singing, dancing, and building something with a room full of friends.

3Age Groups
8:30–4:15Full Day
$79Per Camper
Ages 5–9

Our youngest company. Songs, stories, games, and choreography pitched so that a five year old can keep up and a nine year old is still challenged.

Ages 9–12

Real scene work and real choreography. This group goes deeper into character and technique, and finishes the day with something worth showing off at pickup.

Ages 12–15

For students who already know their way around a stage. Audition material, ensemble work, and the kind of feedback that carries into their next show.

Snow Day Fun Days

School called it. We didn’t.

A snow day is only a good day if you are under twelve. When your division closes for snow and our building is open and safe to get to, we run a Snow Day Fun Day so you are not rearranging your work day at six in the morning.

  1. We decide early. If we are running, it is posted on this page and emailed to credit holders by 7:00 AM. No email means no camp.
  2. Same day, same hours. Drop-off 8:30 AM, pick-up 4:15 PM, packed lunch, exactly like any other day camp.
  3. Claim your spot. Reply to the email or call us. Credit-pack families come first, then single-day bookings while there is room.
  4. Nothing to lose. Free snow days that go unused simply expire at the end of the school year. You are never charged for a day that does not happen.

If the roads are bad enough that we cannot open safely, we stay closed too, and nobody is charged.

Upcoming day camps

Every date the school divisions are closed and we are running a camp, with the divisions that are out marked on each one. Anything showing a Register button is open now; the rest go live as they are announced.

What a day camp day looks like

Drop-off

Doors open at 8:30 AM. Dropping off and going? Pull up at Plaza C. Coming in with them? Park in the lot, parking is free. No early paperwork either way, just walk them in.

Morning

Warm-ups, then into the material. Every group works on a piece they will perform at the end of the day.

Lunch

Campers bring their own lunch and a water bottle. We eat together and the room stays loud.

Afternoon

Choreography, scene work, and a run of the piece. Pick-up at 4:15 PM with a showing for families who can stay.

Bring a packed lunch, a refillable water bottle, and clothes they can move in. Questions before you book? Email info@novapa.org.

Looking for a full week instead?

Our Broadway Bound summer camps run two weeks and finish with a fully staged show.

Day camp questions

Short answers to what parents ask when school closes and work does not.

Who are day camps for?

Ages 5-9, 9-12, and 12-15, each in its own room with its own program for the day. They run on school holidays and teacher workdays when Loudoun, Fairfax, or Prince William is closed.

What are the hours?

Drop-off at 8:30 AM, pick-up at 4:15 PM. A full working day, so you do not have to take one off.

How much is it?

$79 per camper per day. Book one camper into all 5 days and the price drops to $349 — $69.80 a day, applied automatically at checkout.

Does my child need experience?

None at all. Most day campers have never done a show. Every day is built to start and finish in one day, so nobody is behind.

What do they bring?

A packed lunch, a water bottle, and clothes they can move in. See our dress code for shoes.

What happens at the end of the day?

A short showing at pick-up for families who can stay. It is informal and takes about fifteen minutes.

What if school is closed for snow?

That is what our Snow Day Fun Days are for. If your division closes for snow and our building is open, we run a camp and email you by 7:00 AM. Book the 5-day pack by Labor Day and two snow days are free.

Can I book just one day?

Yes. Single days are always available at $79. The 5-day price only kicks in when one camper does all five.

Still wondering something? Email info@novapa.org or call (571) 571-2120. A person answers.

What families tell us

From parent emails at the end of last season.

He wasn’t happy when I told him I had signed him up. He had never been in a play before. After the first day he was all smiles, told us about the friends he made and how much he loved the counselors, and immediately wanted to practice when he got home. Thank you for opening his eyes to something new he now loves.
