Summer camp questions

What families ask before they register, answered plainly.

What ages can attend?

Ages 5 to 15, grouped 5–9, 9–12, and 12–15, plus a Technical Theatre track for ages 10–15. The bands overlap on purpose, so you can pick the room that fits a student on the edge of two.

When are the performances?

Every camp closes with two public performances on the final Friday and Saturday. Showtimes by age group:

Ages 5–9: Friday 5:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM
Ages 9–12: Friday 7:00 PM and Saturday 1:00 PM
Ages 12–15: Saturday 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM

What are the camp dates?

Each camp is a two-week, full-day session.

How to Train Your Dragon Jr.: July 5–16, 2027
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Jr.: July 19–30, 2027
Trolls The Musical Jr.: August 2–13, 2027

What are the hours, and is there care around them?

Camp runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM. Free early drop-off and late pick-up are included at no extra charge and need no registration. Just bring your camper.

Does every camper perform?

Every camper is cast and every camper takes the stage. Nobody sits out and nobody is cut. The session ends with a fully staged performance for families.

Does my child need experience or to audition?

No experience, and no audition to enroll. There is a casting audition on the first morning so the directors can place everyone well, and it is low pressure by design.

What should my camper bring?

A packed lunch, a refillable water bottle, clothes they can move in, and a layer for the room. Full detail in our dress code and what to bring.

How does payment work?

Your total splits into equal monthly payments — the first at checkout, the rest on the 1st of each month, finishing before camp starts. Choosing a plan adds 5% to the balance you finance. Paying in full at checkout avoids that. Full schedule is on our pricing page.

Is there a discount for more than one camp or child?

Yes, and it applies automatically at checkout with no code. One camp saves 10%, two save 15% each, three save 20% each. Second and additional children take 5% off outside the sale window.

Can I use my FSA or dependent care account?

Yes. We generate an itemized dependent-care receipt with our tax ID for campers under 13, and you can download it from your account after checkout. Most families do not know we do this.

What if plans change after we register?

Optional tuition insurance covers most of it on a sliding scale by how far out you cancel. Without it, our refund policy applies. Ask us early rather than late; we can usually help more than you expect.

Do you offer tuition assistance?

Yes. Email info@novapa.org and our CFO will send you the application, handled privately.

Where is camp held?

18945 Conference Center Drive, Plaza C, Leesburg VA 20176. Dropping off and going? Pull up at Plaza C. Coming in? Park in the lot, parking is free.

Still wondering something? Email info@novapa.org or call (571) 571-2120. A person answers.

What you pay, and when

The whole schedule, so you can budget before you click register.

Today

Your first payment holds the spot

The first of your equal monthly payments reserves your child’s place. If you would rather pay in full today, you can, and it costs less.

Monthly

Installments on the 1st

The balance is split across monthly payments pulled automatically on the 1st, up to eight of them, ending before your program begins.

The plan fee

5% to spread it out

Choosing a plan adds 5% to the balance being financed. It is shown at checkout before you pay. Paying in full never pays it.

The last pull

Everything lands early

The final installment is taken at least two weeks before your program starts, and no later than May 1, 2027 for summer camps.

Second and additional children take 5% off. Optional tuition insurance is 10% of the list price and is described on our policies page. Tuition assistance is available and confidential; email info@novapa.org.

What families tell us

Unedited, from parent emails at the end of last season.

He wasn’t happy when I told him I had signed him up. He had never been in a play before. After the first day he was all smiles, told us about the friends he made and how much he loved the counselors, and immediately wanted to practice when he got home. Thank you for opening his eyes to something new he now loves.
