The Little Mermaid JR. runs two Junior companies this spring. The Tuesday cast is open to every student. The Junior Conservatory is a second cast, chosen by audition, that rehearses twice as long each week.
Conservatory students work the way professional companies do: warm up together, learn the music and choreography, stage the scenes, then put it on its feet.
Many students take Broadway Audition Prep at noon on Saturdays, the class designed as the pathway into the conservatory.

Auditions are the first week of December. Choose in person at NoVAPA Studios or a virtual audition by video. Either way, every student sings a song from the show.

Ages 9 to 12 · SaturdaysStudents ages 9 to 12 who love to perform and are ready for a three-hour weekly rehearsal. Prior stage experience helps, and enthusiasm and focus matter just as much.
Every student is welcome in the Tuesday cast of The Little Mermaid JR., which is open enrollment and performs the same show. Broadway Audition Prep on Saturdays is a great next step toward the next conservatory audition.

Yes. Choose Virtual in the request form and we will send the submission details. Virtual auditions use the same song list and monologue.
Performance dates are shared with the cast list. Every cast member is expected at all rehearsals in the final week before opening.
Junior Conservatory tuition is $895 for the spring season, paid at registration once your student is cast. Every child after the first saves 5%. See pricing for our other programs.
